Goshen County has experienced a 0.3 percent decrease in population since 2000, according to the U.S. Census Bureau's July 2006-2007 figures.

Goshen County experienced three tornadoes in less than an hour Friday evening, part of a massive storm that threw hail, rain and other severe weather down on the western United States last week.

After lengthy discussions, the Goshen County Commissioners approved the distribution of the $8.6 million in consensus block grant funding on Tuesday.

“We need to assume that the block grant funding will keep coming every year”

On Wednesday, the Hawk Springs Fire Protection Board approached the Goshen County commissioners about obtaining $210,000 from the $8.6 million consensus block grant received by the county earlier this year. via The Torrington Telegram
