The column that says Friendly's on North Pearl Street in Bridgeton is closed and we can't imagine why, but we bet you could, because how can the only ice cream stand in town not work, and it's a chain in a ShopRite shopping center? Coach Sam Miletta's reputation continues to grow after his Bridgeton Fifth Ward A.A. Gems beat Woodstown, 13-6 on Sunday. In other Senior action, Millville blanked Salem, 18-0, and Penns Grove outlasted West Deptford, 24, and that's who Bridgeton plays this week.

Pitman police arrest Glassboro man, 58, for urinating in public

A pair of officers arrested a Glassboro man on Aug. 26 on charges of disorderly conduct after the suspect was allegedly urinating in public. Patrolmen Marshall Pierson and Eric Weist responded to the call in the borough's business district shortly before 11 a.m. and arrested Anthony DiPisquale, 58, of Glassboro.
