Polls open today for elections from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Harrison County Elections Administrator Pam Brock encourages voters to participate in today's election as polls open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. to cast votes on three issues that will impact Harrison County citizens.
Today will be the final day of early voting for two local ballot items and the Texas State Constitutional election.
Two more early voting places opened Wednesday but voting was still slow for the three elections voters are being asked to decide.
Extremely slow, but anticipated was how Election Administrator Pam Brock described the first day of early voting for three elections.
Early voting begins Monday for three issues on the Nov. 3 ballot. Harrison County voters will vote on 11 Constitutional amendments, while voters in specific precincts will consider the creation of an Emergency Services District 6 and how Karnack ISD will spend its wealth.
Both Harrison County Commissioners and Marshall City Commissioners approved their respective 2009-2010 budgets and tax rates during separate meetings Friday morning.
