Times-Tribune Staff Report A Woodbine man was arrested Tuesday after he sold prescription narcotics to police, according to the Corbin Police Department.

An 82-year-old Keavy woman lost her life in a fire Sunday night on East KY 312. The Keavy Volunteer Fire Department responded to a mobile home fire shortly after 8 p.m. at 2748 Laurel Lake North Road.

A local man is dead following a two-vehicle accident on Hwy. 6 in Woodbine at midday Saturday and police say they strongly believe drugs and alchol were factors in the crash.

Following an investigation by Kentucky State Police a Laurel County Grand Jury indicted a Woodbine man on charges of rape, incest and sodomy of a child under 12.

State police say both directions of Interstate 75 in southeastern Kentucky have reopened.

By Samantha Swindler/Managing Editor A large barn belonging to the Pennington family in Corbin quickly caught fire Wednesday afternoon and burned to the ground within a half-hour, aided by loads of hay and exploding propane tanks.

Two barns were destroyed by fire Wednesday afternoon in Whitley County. It happened just off highway 26 in Woodbine.
