New coal-fired power plants opposed in Michigan

Yeah, probably not a good idea to be building coal plants. They are clearly linked to acid rain for one thing. As a conservative, I am against this proposal. Remember that the root of conservative is consevre just like in conservation. Remember Teddy Roosevelt? A conservative who helped found our national parks system...? Why not invest that $2 billion into something like wind energy? Wind is free and non-poluting.(Hehe) And in a few places around Michigan the breezes are fairly constant. I think that would be a better option to look into. Steelie |
