Men were killed in crash in Palm Springs
Two Los Angeles men killed when one of them crashed a speeding Mercedes-Benz into a palm tree in Palm Springs were identified Monday. Darius Borvainas, 38, of Los Angeles and Villius Peciukevicius, 23, of Winnetka died at the scene of the crash, reported about 10:30 p.m. Saturday on Racquet Club Road near Indian Canyon Drive, according to Palm Springs police and the Riverside County Coroner's Office.

Authorities say two Los Angeles-area men were killed when the vehicle they were traveling in lost control and slammed into a palm tree in Palm Springs. The driver, described as a 21-year-old, was a resident of Winnetka.
