Billy Britt was traveling eastbound on KY 339 when he failed to see a horse drawn buggy operated by Ananias Byler and struck the rear of the buggy.

A weekend fire has killed an elderly woman in western Kentucky. A Kentucky State Police spokesman said 96-year-old Mary Mozelle Mullins died after her stove caught fire, burning her home Saturday afternoon.

Sources have reported that Water Valley Baptist Church is on fire. The source said the church was fully engulfed in flames.

WINGO, Ky. A western Kentucky elementary school was one of a small number of schools recently recognized for its efforts to be more environmentally friendly, after students there led the effort to recycle and save electricity by turning lights off.
