An airplane described as a cropduster crashed a few miles away from a private airfield near Winfall, North Carolina, just before 7:30 p.m. Perquimans County Sheriff Eric Tilley said a 9-1-1 call about the crash came in at 7:31 p.m. The cropduster was making practice runs when it went down in the 800 block of Swamp Road.
