Metro gets serious on boundary expansion
The Metro Council will seriously consider expanding the urban growth boundary by 2,200 acres to help accommodate 9,200 new homes. All seven members of the council reacted positively to Metro Chief Operating Officer Martha Bennett's recommendation to approve expansion requests from Beaverton, King City, Hillsboro and Wilsonville during a Sept.
