Wilmington steps toward Sonic boom

Despite calls from two commercial abutters for a traffic study to be conducted first, the Planning Board last night gave its blessing for Sonic to build its second Massachusetts restaurant in town.

Bring it on. They serve great food. I would love to have a Sonic close by. Right now I drive to route 1 to go to the Sonic. Tell Mc Donalds to move over and accept the compitation. Yea Sonic!!!!!!!!!!

Sonic is such a great experience. Yes it is not as healthy as Panera but it would be great to have one near by. I lived down south for 3 years and went to a sonic at least 3-5 times a month. I agree with heffa, move over McD's its time for a new sheriff in town.

That the abutting owners are worried about increased traffic in front of their businesses. From what I've noticed, that McDonald's should be happy to have ANY cars in their parking lot and Market Basket should focus their attention on all the cars blocking traffic parked in the fire lane while the driver/passenger runs into the store for "just a quick second".

I wouldn't think MB and McDonald's would be be all too happy about sonic coming in. Oh well,too bad that's competition. It might force them to provide better customer service.
