Task force to target W'boro crime

Is this Mayor kidding? What planet is she from? Willingboro has been going down hill with all this crime from all the outsiders coming in from Philadelphia, Camden, New york, Lindenwold, Trenton...etc!!! My taxes are too high to be putting up with this bull shit! I will be moving out as soon as I can sell my home or rent it out. I'm disgusted with this township!

....say it aint so...a task force being set up in the good ol Boro, to address the recent spike in...robberies...gun point car jackings...and people being "knifed"...as some of the Boro.s finest speed away with their car...with their infant baby inside ?!?

....boy O boy...next you,ll be hearing that people are putting "bars" on their home,s doors and windows...

...O wait....they,ve been doing that for the last 20 years...

...good move on your part Concerned...I lived in Willingboro for over 30 years...sold my home 5 years ago and moved out of state....best move I ever made....town I live in now is laid back...kids playing in the streets....my neighbors come over for BBQ,s all summer long.....Crime Is Almost Non-Existent..

...and my taxes ?....lol....900 dollars a year....I was paying over 3,500 a year in the Boro 5 years ago...and from what I understand they have gone up considerably since then...

....the year befor I moved an old black couple from Philly moved in next door....great people...we used to trade tomato,s an other veggies over the back fence in the summer...they had me over and my girlsfriend over for a Fare Well Dinner...the week before I moved....the husband who was in his 70,s told me a story one day...he told how they used to live in Philadelphia...and how the drug dealers used to sit on their front porch and est chinese food at night...then leave all the trash on their porch when they were done...he said they never said anything ...just quietly cleaned it up...because they were...afraid....he went on to tell me how many times they had their house broken into...car vandalized...tires stolen off of it....and how they were so glad that they finally could afford to move into a nice homw in Willingboro....but still...one of the first things he did when he moved in next to me was to....put bars on his windows and doors...

....I just smiled...I didnt have the heart to tell him that all those scumbags had beat him here....and now this town was now ....the new Philly...

...Ive been gone 5 years...and my life is so much better....get out now while you still can..

I agree with you......my husband and I are looking to move down south the cost of living is less and my taxes will not be $5,000 a year. I want to feel like I'm on vacation everyday and have palm trees around and sunny hot weather.

This is just sad. We used to be proud to tell people where we were from. Now? Most of us can only offer up a cautionary tale - about how we got the hell out of Dodge and never looked back.

I was thinking of buying a house in Garfield. I'm not sure now. Is Willingboro really as bad as people are saying? Is it worse than Pemberton or Mount Holly?
