Police caution against possible scam artist
The Montpelier Police Department is warning residents to be wary of phone scams after a local resident wired money to a person posing as a relative.
An all-terrain vehicle was reported stolen in Williamstown last week. Andrew Beam, of Charlton, Mass., told police that sometime between June 6 and June 20 someone stole his 1999 Polaris Special Edition Sportsman 500 ATV, along with wheels and tires from another ATV.
