Trucks, damage remain after - mudding'

"Mudding" probably is a fun sport, Paula Smith, Williamsburg, acknowledged. But she doesn't find much fun in the after-effects - the damage caused by people driving their trucks on minimum maintenance roads she and her husband use to access their farm property, and even damage to their property.

Surprise storm brings reports of funnel cloud

Alan Radcliffe first heard about the storm on a weather radio. Radcliffe, Franklin County emergency management director, said a report from the National Weather Service Saturday evening warned him of an approaching threat to Franklin County.
