Noon Rotary honors firefighter, citizens
MANITOWOC - The Manitowoc Noon Rotary Club on Thursday honored three local heroes: a Manitowoc firefighter/ paramedic who staved off a knife-wielding assailant and saved the life of a woman whose throat was slit; and two Whitelaw sisters who saved their mother's life.

LTC nursing students gain life experience

	 New faith home for Lakeshore Unitarian Universalist Fellowship as it holds its first service at 10 a.m. Sunday at the former Christian Science Society building, 620 Park St. in Manitowoc. The fellowship holds Sunday services at 10 a.m. and offers children's religious education and childcare. On Sunday, a tour of the building will be followed by a picnic. 	 Ecumenical Prayer Service for unemployed, underemployed and those concerned about their jobs will be held at 6 p.m. Monday at the Lincoln Park West Shelter in Manitowoc. Manitowoc area clergy will lead the liturgy with music by 'Day Spring,' a Two Rivers ecumenical praise band. Career and jobs advisor Jan Algozine from Silver Lake College will speak. An offering of food items for local pantries will be taken. Attendees should bring own lawn chairs and blankets for seating.
