Klickitat County's Inventions of Yesteryear
In the early 1900s, Klickitat County was home to many inventors. All had ideas on ways to improve the lives of their countrymen, and women. This is evident by the vast number of patents granted to Klickitat County citizens during America's emerging industrial age.
This is the first in a series of columns showcasing some of the more interesting inventions patented by early Klickitat County entrepreneurs. It is unknown if any of them made a fortune from their inventions, but since patents at the time expired about 7 years after they were issued, readers who think they can make money off of any of these inventions are welcome to try and improve on them and patent any new designs.
