Mary had resided in the Bangor area for the past eight years, and prior to that she had lived in the Mount Bethel, Pa., and Hopatcong, N.J., areas.

Indictment: Ex-teacher murdered retired New York City cop in Mount Olive

MORRISTOWN - A woman accused of a shooting a retired New York City police officer was formally indicted Tuesday on a murder charge. Virginia Vertetis, 52, shot Patrick Gilhuley, 51, of Staten Island, "multiple times" at her house in Mount Olive on March 3, according to a Morris County assistant prosecutor.

Human remains ID'd as Wharton man missing since 2011

ROXBURY - Authorities say they have identified human remains found last fall in a wooded area off Route 46 in Roxbury as a Wharton man who went missing in November 2011.
