Haddad seems like he'd fit right in with the band of misfits up there at Town Hall now.

You are kidding me if number three is the best that they can come up with, I have lost all faith in the process. Why is is that the newspaper know about his past issues and problems and the committe does not. Need to have his name removed immediately. They need to go back to the table add two more.
An Absolute embarrassment

This list is an embarrassment. Haddad should not have been recommended-shame on the committee. Maylor takes a job in Swampscott, signs a contract with them and has been a finalist in five other towns since! Almost one a year that we know about! This fiasco makes me wonder how thoroughly this committee checked these people out. Or were they more focused on politics and not giving the selectmen candidates the selectmen might like??

I can't believe what I'm reading. If this is the best your committee can do, Billerica you've got bigger problems than you know about !!! Didn't your committee check the candidates out before recommending them? Or is your system simply "If you interview well you get the job" and forget about performance, track record, references, etc !! Good lick, neighbor! But it appears you need more than luck-maybe prayers to St Jude the patron of hopeless cases.

Sexual Harrassment, over budget, Haddad sounds like the ideal candidate to replace Senator Marzilli.

Has anyone from the sun spoken with mato's and asked her if she knew about all the allegations and constant interviewing by canidate number one. This process reaks and only can make one belive that the town is heading down a bad path. No hacks we need a proven professional he is not looking to build a resume or pad a pension. Blow it up and start all over. I hope the selectmen are bright enough to demand more respectable candidates

Good God. Leave it up to Billerica residentss who have know understanding or professional working experience with executive searches. Among the finalists for the town managers postion is someone who blames the mdia for pusing him out of a municipal leader job, held a town managers job for only six months, resiged from his towns managers job afterbeign accused of sexualk harrassment with an out of court settlement to those owmn he harraaased...the selecvtmen, who have the final decsion on hiring the new town managers ought to isist on five-6 finalists and not three as the search committee has proposed.Thank you to the Lowell Sun for reporting this embarraasing news;I wonder iof the Billerica Minuteman will ever get atround to the through coverage you provided to Billerica residents on this issue.

Wow! Are you kidding me? How does this committe choose someone like the # 3 Haddad? I have no faith at all in that committe.

Well Joey, let me educate you on Billerica's Charter. Within 30 days of receiving the list, the Selectmen MUST pick one candidate from the list given to them. So they are bound by the Charter to pick one from these three. Great system, huh Joey. Instead of crapping on the Selectmen, look at the system. The whole process has got to go. It's time for Billerica to change their Charter. Get rid of their antiquated form of government. It can't cope with a $120 Million operation. And this process is a TRAVESTY. If we're looking to point fingers, Joey, look to the committee. Matos proudly announces these are the "best" three ! And it takes a reporter to point out what the committee should have discovered had they done their due diligence.

I worked with Mark in Littleton, bullied people, harrased people,
abused people. If they hire him, get out the check book. Settlements everywhere he worked.$$$$$$$$$

After reading this article I have lost all confidence in this selection committee. For Kathy Matos to say these were the "strongest" candidates is shocking. I do hope the selectmen reject all the candidates and let the process begin again. Our 2 interim managers are doing a commendable job. Our town is better off with them at the helm than the questionable candidates selected by Kathy Matos' committee. I makes me really wonder about Ms. Matos' judgement.

I smell a rat! I doubt the Sun reporter did much real reporting to write this story.

And some of the comments smell like another set-up from a certain selectman who wanted Town Meeting to give his board complete control over this process.

I think we should be told more about the process and more about the backgrounds of these 3 inndividuals.

Thanks Billy Boy. I like the education. You are right on. Do not blame the decision, but point the finger at the process. You need to change the process in the Charter before they can get it right.

Why do I think that a certain selectman found out this info and sent it to the Sun? These people on the screening committee must have been getting high as a kite, or the remaining candidates that were not chosen must have just been let out of McLean Hospital.

Yeah...let's change the Charter because a committee did a bad job. That does not make sense. I question who is on the committee and who appointed them there. It was probally the typical friends and family selection process well known in Billerica.

Maylor is by far and away the best choice for this job. Swampscott's loss is Billerica's gain.

"Billerica Newbie" has an obvious axe to grind with someone and "Newbie" has information we don't have. Share it with us. Meanwhile I'm more focused on the candidates presented and the system. Seems like a lot of questions, "Newbie", about the candidates. Unanswered questions.

Why isn't the "Naked Dirt Biker" on this list. He is a man of the people.
