Fundraising starting for carousel complete with wood-carved horses

Just what the Berkshires needs: another non-profit organization.

Hope this Idea catch's on,....however if these carousel people have to deal with the City Clowns, oh, sorry meant City Counsel, and the Zoning Bores,..again sorry, meant the Zoning Board, well this thing could already be "dead-in-the-water"

everyone asked what RUBERTO's next big idea was after Spice, right? Well, here it is!! I wonder what will be shown in the museum, Rubertos great ideas that failed (like a chair from Spice, maybe some of the union contracts that he has failed to honor)? One can only imagine.

"We're not going to go to the big boys to seek help." I'll believe that when I see it.

Who are we gonna hire to be the jockeys on all them horses? Will there be legalized betting?

Why do you have to throw Spice into the mix of the carousel group trying to do something fun and interesting for Pittsfield?

No offense, ma'am, but I'm getting the sense that Spice! was just the vehicle used to extract $8 million from a gullible lender.

They already got something like 8 mil in credit and can't handle that.

People are being tossed out of there homes and can't make there payments for food gas and everyday living expences!! Is This the best that Old Pittown can come up with?? Bread and a circus That is what the leaders of Rome thought!

I have to agree with Dr. Plunder & GM Heller. That was my 1st thought when i read the headlines. It's yet another waste of money. Why can't people who like to donate money come up with some USEFUL causes. Like helping the hard working class & elderly with their heating bills. Or donate to food pantries, etc.

Don't get me wrong, I like the idea of a carousel, but does it have to be yet another not-for-profit?
Why can't the owner do it actually to make MONEY!

a non- profit org. and needs $2,000,000.00 to build it. out of gold or what and how many kids will ride it to give it a cause to be built probably all including me. Projects like this usually start off at 50 cents and the end of the season it will be $5.00 then $10.00 to pay for hidden uncalculated costs. it sounds like another city hall project like the Housatonic River Museum which should attract 10's of thousands annually.....YEP WHAT A FANTASTIC IDEA show pictures of rip rap and seedlings. use the PEDA MONEY if there's any of it left..

It's funny that the woman who's spearheading this ridiculous campaign is even still around. Pittsfield does embrace losers and she's a Loser's loser. I'm surprised Dan O'Connell isn't somewhere in the shadows pulling the strings as he was a great puppet master. The two of them were joined at the hip. I'm so happy the weather was rainy for this absolutely silly event. What's next? Pittsfield will claim they were they invented the merry-go-round in 1789?

Why should there be all this negativity for something that people are trying to do to improve the community? If you read the article, the guy putting this together put in his own money to buy the lot. We should give him credit. No city money has been asked for.
Why would you say the the woman heading it is a loser? Seems they got a lot done this weekend without any public funding. You don't have to support it, but its a nice idea. I didn't see any ideas from you.
