Police: DNA database helps catch break-in suspect

Police are crediting a DNA database for helping to catch a man suspected of breaking into a South Kingstown home last year. Police said they responded to the Karison Street home on the night of Jan. 6, 2017, and found the suspect smashed a ground-floor window to get inside, then went into the master bedroom and stole some jewelry.
