Resurrection of Crittenden Regional complicated, but could still happen
A little less than a month after Crittenden Regional Hospital shut down, officials in Crittenden County are still trying to figure out how, and if, the hospital can be reopened. A portion of the hospital's patients and 52 of the its 400 displaced employees got good news last week when Scott Ferguson , a West Memphis, Arkansas-based radiologist, and Rick Williams , who owns hospice care facilities around Arkansas, acquired Crittenden Regional's Home Health and Hospice Care facility.

Ex-Workers Sue Closed West Memphis Hospital
Former workers at a closed Arkansas hospital have filed a lawsuit, claiming administrators withheld part of their pay for insurance but didn't pay the premiums. The lawsuit was filed by Denny Sumpter, a West Memphis attorney and former state representative whose mother had worked at the Crittenden Regional Hospital, the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette reported.

Scott Ferguson , a West Memphis-based radiologist, and Rick Williams , who owns hospice care facilities around Arkansas, have acquired Crittenden Regional's Home Health and Hospice Care facility. After years of financial troubles, the hospital was to be the beneficiary of a sales tax increase designed to make up for short falls.
