No More Cupcakes?

rediculous.... if u dont want your child to partake in such activities, then sign a waiver at the beginning of the year that you do not want your child to ingest a cupcake for a birthday celebration. GIMMEE A BREAK make sure they can read and write. Worry about their
EDU-MU-CATION!!!!!

This whole thing is insane. The school board is doing the total opposite of what the people want-what kind of crap is that?

and by the way for those of you who do not already know, this whole cupcake thing is state-wide from what i was told. My son is in the middle country SD, and they told me the cupcake law has been in effect for a couple of years already. This is my oldest childs first year in school, and i have had a few other "shockers" as well.I asked his teacher to please call me by my firwst name, and she told me that by law she is not allowed!! OMG!!! whatever, anyway, they suggested that i come in and read a story to the kids instead of cupcakes. I do not see how that is a substitue for cupcakes, but they get enough stories read to them I am sure. I got some dollar store packages of temp tattoos and put them on all the kids. just a suggestion for anyone who is stumped as far as something "fun" to do. Good luck to all of us and our children on our adventures with the public school system!!!!
