The North Platte R-I school district will have a new superintendent next school year.
Jeffrey Sumy, superintendent at the Wellington-Napoleon R-IX school district, will replace Francis Moran beginning in July after a unanimous decision by the school board.
'We started out with 20 applicants and narrowed it down to five applicants that we wanted to interview,' said Jim Paden, president of the North Platte R-I Board of Education. 'We had seven members who thought (Sumy) was the best one.' Read more
