Car hits 3 children in Waynesboro

These three kids are in my thoughts; I wish for them a speedy recovery.

i hope all three children have a fast recovery...my son walks this way home everyday day..he said to me last evening that he was lucky it wasnt him as he had just walked through that interscetion a few mins before..he tells me he will not walk that way home anymore..for fear of it happening again..i explained that things like that do not happen all the time and it was just a freak accident..if my son feels this way and wasnt hit..inmagine what the three children that were hit, are dealing with today...how sad...speedy recovery to all involed and thanking god that no one lost a life..to the man who went after the elderly man that hit the teens...SHAME ON YOU! it my have been one of your children ..but it was a accident..no need to grab a hold of a elderly man, dont you think he is feeling awful enough..i'm hoping you got arrested. i would have felt the same if it was my child ..but the man looked to be over 85 years old. no common sense involed their. you cant just put your hands on people..it was a accident and thats why they are called accidents...and inmagine this it wasnt a teenage driver!!!!!

there are no accidents. driving rules were not followed which led to a collision. both drivers are lucky those kids weren't killed.

Please Lord, let these kids be OK.

This was a tragic and emotional ACCIDENT. Prayers go out to all involved. Kudos to the police, fire, emergency and school officials, who were on the scene within minutes. Lets not be too critical of the drivers until all facts are presented. Our concern should be with ALL involved, including the drivers and their families. God Bless all involved in this accident. May you all heal from its aftermath. Special prayers for the students involved, and those who witnessed the accident. I'm sure they are suffering too.

So often the accelerated is mistaken for the BRAKE when a driver is excited. Let's pray for this girl's recovery !

that is a problem peddle awareness is driving 101 get off the damn road if you cant handle your vehicle.

Sounds as if you should be a driver's education instructor. You dont know how you are going to act during an incident or what your reactions or reaction time might be. the speed of one vehicle may have pushed the other across the walk and a momentary LOC may have been enough to delay reaction time!

your ruthless...it was a accident dumba**...you shouldnt judge..you must be living in a glass house. the man may have had something go wrong health wise..or the pedal may have got stuck..it happens..praying for all involed.your lucky it wasnt one of yours.

this guy was the reason i totaled my car august 2008 he pulled out in front me..i think its time he should be off the road.hopefully the kids are okay

I agree. Shame on you for showing self control and not kicking the crap out of the stupid ahole that just ran over your kid. I don't know if I would have been strong enough to restrain myself. I hope that all of the kids are doing good.

If you are to stupid to know the differance between the gas and brake in an emergency you sould not be driving. I hope that the old man is charged with attempted manslaugter.

Who beats up an old man for causing a traffic accident? Stupid! Two things should happen:

1) assult charges and jail time for Mr. Baddass.

2) suspended license for elderly gent

Speedy recovery for the injured

there was alot of things happening and i was another person hit i was very luky i just hope all my friends will be ok and if they read this i wish you luck and may god always always be with you!!!:(:(

U mean it is this guys 2nd accident in a little over a year, u totaled ur car because of him and now he wipes out 3 kids on a sidewalk!!! This man needs to take a new driving course to get his license back!!!! All people over the age of 70 should have to recertify their license every 5 years to keep it period!! If they cant handle their car and know the difference between the gas and the brake they should not be driving period!!! U should know to yeild to that person at a four way stop sign, where did common sense driving go too in people today they can not drive on dry roads what are they going to do when it snows and ices up lord help us all!!!! People need to get a grip with driving or dont drive period!!!

I know my reactions are not what they were when I 1st passed the driving test 32 years ago. On a general thought, that intersection seemed to be a pretty safe one. As far being on the road can be.
My vote for worst intersection in the area would be Orchard rd and 997.

And I'm not from New Bloomfield, where ever that is.

Everyone can stop jumping to conclusions. You dont know what the cause of the accident was. Why dont you reserve judgement til you know the facts? I pray for speedy recovery.

Well if the man has caused other accidents and he is an elderly man then maybe he should have to take his test again to see if he is capable of driving safely. I think our children should be more important than him having the right to drive. And as far as the guy that jumped him......well if it were your child I would say you would probably have done the same thing. You dont know unless you are in that situation what your reaction would be.
