Rollover on Route 296 kills Waymart woman
A 26-year-old Waymart woman died Friday afternoon in a car crash on Route 296. Natosha L. Vansant was driving north about a mile south of the Owego Turnpike when she swerved abruptly off the road just before 12:50 p.m., according to state police at Honesdale.
A woman died Friday afternoon after loosing control of her car in Wayne County. Emergency crews were called to the crash on Route 196 near Waymart around 1 p.m. Police said the woman, who has not been identified, was thrown from the car after it flipped.
The Sayre Borough Administration Committee discussed bids that have been received for two construction projects in the borough at its meeting Monday.
