Fire Department readies its 100th field day

The saint regis falls fire department is a self centered egotistical organization - at least where the fourth of july celeb take place. They never let any local talent vie for a position in their celebration. They have Bernie Brown of "Wheels of Steel" booked yet for another season and a year hasn't passed by yet! I run a local dj production. When I asked the board to reconsider and hire me as their dj for next year {2010} and I wouldn't charge them like Bernie did they said they're already taken care of that small part. Donna Bailey is booking agent. She must HATE local people.

I myself wouldn't run down an organization that runs out the door anytime of the day and night no matter what the weather and helps people like YOU and I and ask for nothing in return!!!!!!!!!! And as far as you being local yea a planted local how long have you lived in St Regis Falls anyways? Did you go to one of their fire meetings and talk to the members? And as far as not letting a local "cryass" like you do it instead of Bernie Brown well people like him so why change something that works? I would really think hard the next time you go on a local forum an flap your gums because all it does is make you look like a ASS. Oh wait a CRYASS.

I volunteered to do the work totally free of charge! Bernie charged the fire department $350. I thought the 4th of July celeb was to make money for the department? Meetings - yes I did. Town meetings - yes I did. Spoke to the chief - yes I did. Been here a while
How do you know I wouldn't appeal to the locals? People at the Malone Amer Leg are VERY satisfied.

I can honestly say I never saw you at 1 fire dept meeting or anyone asking about playing at the 4th. And I AM FROM THE FALLS!!!!!! Yes the 4th is about raising money. Why don't you send a list of the types of music you have to the fire dept? I have never even heard of you or what type of venue you put on. But come on we try our best to make everyone happy and to bring in a big crowd, most of whom are not local. And to call us "self centered egotistical organization" well sorry you feel that way. Sorry that the "town" told you no but try to make it to an actual fire dept meeting and talk to the members.

SRF BOY - A year ago, January, I left a few of my flyers and 6 cards at the fire station. we're talking 6 months before the July 4th date. A month later I spoke with DB, she said Bernie has already been hired. I spoke to brent he said speak to the chief which I did but he really didn't want to be bothered with it. he said there's a committee for that. I have rock nroll from abba to zztop. I have a ton of country. I have dinner music, elevator music, greek music, big band era music, kids songs, polish music, irish music, jewish music, early turn of the times country. I know W Simpson and Bubba.

Yes if you asked in January it was to late as the entertainment gets booked a year in advance. Sorry i didn't see your cards or flyers.

OK, Thanks. I did ask a person the day after the 4th and this certain person said that Bernie had already been hired. My next question is does Bernie have an ongoing contract with the fire department? I mean has he signed a contract for umpteen odd years? That doesn't give a person like me a chance in H*** for any event.

llcm is syracuse local? SRF if you know Winnie and Bubba why don't you have either or both of them talk to the chief. Or come to a FIRE (and i stress FIRE) meeting with one of them and put your name in the hat for volunteering your services @ the 4th. I can honestly say that being a volunteer fire dept. the chief does not always have time to talk or sit down with every person that comes in. This is way there is a committee for the 4th events. Before llcm says anything I am local although not native.

i dont know who you are but you dont know anything about st regis falls and nothing about the fire station there

PeePot - cable provider is from central ny near syracuse - I guess the forum defaults to whom the isp is NOT the actual place a person is located.
