With candidates' signs showing up in yards all over Columbus, it's no wonder some residents are confused about whether they can vote in the election to fill the Georgia House District 129 seat Vance Smith left to become Department of Transportation commissioner.

A Harris County woman died in an accident in Peach County Sunday night. Sheriff Terry Deese says Kayla Brown was driving west on Highway 96 around 10 p.m. Sunday, when last she apparently drove through a stop sign at the Highway 49 bypass.
