As a very concerned grandmother and a victim of child sexual abuse; I am disgusted that a sexual assault of a minor can be pleaded down to a domestic battery charge. Why in God's name don't adults value children? I know this particular man, Mr. Nicholas Batson, and know for a fact that he has lifted a 2 year old boy by his pants and hung him over a stair railing because he was running in a hotel hallway. He is not the child's father but an uncle by marriage. That child is my grandson.
This incident happened approximately 3 years ago, and I still get enraged that he would dare to scare a toddler like that. How dare he!? I believe he is guilty of molesting his niece and I wouldn't be surprised if there are others. He was also physically abusive with his own son and now by some ironic twist of fate he and his wife have been able to adopted a little girl. Why not just let him at all the innocent children? He is a sick individual and anyone who stands behind him deserves the fate that awaits them. The truly unfortunate ones are the children in his life, they will suffer and pay the price because they have no one to believe them and stand up for them.
