Arts industries commission doles out large grants
The Creative Arts Industries Commission announced Thursday its second round of grants this year, with this set of nine grants worth $350,000 dwarfing the first round of eight grants totaling $58,400.

Topeka concert set by Coder after five-day German gig
Judy Coder, who on Sunday will complete a five-day gig representing Kansas and Oklahoma tourism in Germany at Americana, Europe's top Western equestrian event, will return home for three Kansas concerts with Sunny Dogs, a German duo that does country and bluegrass.
