Watertown officials, humane society provide more details on shelter proposal
The property that the city might acquire from the local humane society is in the town of Pamelia and would probably undergo annexation. The Jefferson County Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is interested in swapping some land in Pamelia for nearly 10 acres of city-owned land on Vanduzee Street, where the organization would build a new animal shelter.
