Craig Resigns as White House Counsel

The White House said on Friday that President Obama a s top lawyer, Gregory B. Craig , was stepping down from his post as the White House counsel, a departure that was timed to coordinate with a Justice Department announcement that five terrorism suspects held in Guantanamo Bay would face trial in New York .
