Big Island Police are warning the public against taking narcotics stolen in a robbery at a Waimea pharmacy on November 9. An unidentified man wearing camouflage clothing and armed with a handgun entered the pharmacy off Kawaihae Road and demanded Fentanyl and Oxycontin.

Former Hawaii Air Ambulance nurse alleges harassment

LIHUE - A former nurse with Hawaii Air Ambulance has accused her former supervisors of sexual harassment, an allegation the company "emphatically denies." Suzanne Masias, now living in Colorado, was an obstetrics nurse at Kauai Veterans Memorial Hospital at the West Kauai Medical Center in Waimea before joining Hawaii Air Ambulance.

The AARP and Volunteer Income Tax Assistance groups are seeking volunteers to provide free tax assistance this coming filing season in Hawai'i. The volunteers will prepare federal and Hawaii state individual tax returns for the elderly, disabled, non-English speaking, and those with limited incomes.
