This is so sad! How in the hell can you hit a HUMAN with your car and take off? I read in the paper today that they caught the guy in Dallas. I hope that the "COWARD" gets time and I mean lots of time to think about what he did to this man and his family. I bet that the "COWARD" that hit him was drunker than a monkey and had to abandon his rental car because he is lower than pond scum!

Your right it is sad and un called for. Stan was a good man and friend. The other side of the story that the News Enterprise has failed to report is that the driver also was involved in another hit & run accident in Meade County 15 minutes after the first accident. He side swiped a vehicle and fled that scene before ditching the car in Radcliff.

It is not known at the moment if he was drunk or under any influence substances other than poor moral conduct and lack of common sense at the time of his actions.

It is a tragic situation for the Hensley family and my prayers are definately with them.

Yes it is sad but I use to wrk with the man who caused it so you all need to relax and watch your mouths. You don't know this man nor have you done or seen the stuff he has. He is not the type to do this at all

It was a terrible accident that claimed the life of a good man. He obviously had the wits to ditch the car and run to Dallas. He knew what he had done, and was in some serious trouble. Ive known great people who have made horrible choices in life and deserved the punishment.

Doesn't matter who this man is or was. An accident happened and a man was killed. This man should've stopped to help. I don't know either of them but its not right that one died and one ran.

Tiffany and I are sitting here in Killeen, TX and couldn't believe it either. Life does or does not change a man I suppose. It's too bad!

the man that hit mr hensley needs to be in jail for 20 plus years, he fled trying to get away, that shows that your guilty, the man needs to be punished

I truly believe that something like this can make you lose your mind. Not to defend nor judge the driver, but who's to say after spending 20+ years in the Army, fighting for this country and deploying to fight this war 3 or more times cannot impact your judgement? We all know it was wrong to leave the scene, but do many of you not read why he was caught out of State? To continue supporting this country in Afghanistan even after his military career was over. I agree with the punishment for leaving after the accident completely, but is it any more than that? I mean it's not like the driver purposly tried to kill this man. And as sad as this accident is, it is just that - an accident. He will already have to live with what happened and the desicion to leave the scene for the rest of his life.

Daily Horoscope for December 22

Taurus

Time is hurtling towards Christmas Day and it seems that you're in a panic about how you're going to get everything done in time. You may even have reached the stage where you've ground to a halt because you don't know what to do first. So take a deep breath, calm down and do things one at a time. Otherwise you'll end up feeling confused, tired and tearful.
