Survivors remember wreck of Castine

VINALHAVEN : The seas were comparatively calm but the fog was dense in the late morning of Saturday, June 8, 1935, when the steamer Castine approached Vinalhaven carrying 75 people, mostly members of local granges who planned to attend a picnic with other grange members on the island.
