Food bank Summer Backpack Program continues through Aug. 8

The Food Bank of the Golden Crescent and BHP Billiton have partnered this summer to give out backpacks filled with food for the weekend at five Victoria locations Fridays through Aug. 8. Nearly 500 backpacks were served in Victoria during June, said Rachel Jones, development and programs coordinator at the Food Bank of the Golden Crescent.
