Nine new buses, business office reorganization approved for Vicksburg schools
Vicksburg Community Schools will be purchasing nine new school buses and is reorganizing its business office that will mean the loss of two positions.
Tracy Locey hired as new Vicksburg village clerk, office manager
Locey has been administrator and treasurer of the South Kalamazoo County Fire Authority since 2005 and administrator of South County EMS since 2006.

Portage Public Schools to boost security entrances at several buildings
The Portage school board Monday approved a $606,100 contract with Frederick Construction of Vicksburg for stepped up building security measures that come in part because of last year's Sandy Hook Elementary School massacre in Connecticut.
