Police search Woodford coroner's offices, home after child-porn disk is found

let justice be served....pleaase folks don;t jump to conclusuions. If a wrong has been done it will come out, if not then we should be willing to treat the accussed party as if nothing ever happened. Everyone at Blackburn and Ward have been very good to me and my family over the years from Steve, Danny, Beckie, Penny, Gary and the ones who names I don't even remember. God's will be done in this difficult situation.

I pray that none of this is true.Steve has been there for my family in the hardest times of our lives.

A computer disk containing child pornography is at the center of an investigation of Woodford County Coroner J. Steve Ward, court records unsealed this week indicate.

The disk was provided to Kentucky State Police in mid-October by Woodford Deputy Coroner Danny Owens. Owens told police he had removed the disk from a computer in the coroner's office while performing his daily duties as an employee of Blackburn & Ward Funeral Home, where the coroner's office is headquartered.

Ward was in Florida at the time Owens met with police, according to the records. No charges have been filed.

"I am not guilty of the allegations," Ward said in an interview Wednesday.

Ward also said that Danny Owens was still employed by the coroner's office as a deputy and at Blackburn & Ward Funeral Home in Versailles, which Ward owns.

In addition to supplying police with the disk, Owens told police that Ward had read to him excerpts from a journal involved in a coroner's case which indicated the deceased had had sexual relationships with children and animals, according to the records.

Police, after viewing the disk, which contains images of prepubescent girls, searched Ward's funeral home, the coroner's office and Ward's nearby home on Oct. 14, retrieving computer equipment and software, cameras and other items from the coroner's office and the residence.

i think danny put the disk there all by himself.......such a low rent loser,ur an ass boy you will never get coroner for so many reason, but the number 1 is because your a stinky low rent rat that lies, to hurt others!!!!!!!!!!

I think it's all lie's steve would nevery do anyting like that he is a good man.and i do feel like he was sit up, maybe they should be looking at danny, btw is danny still working there

This is so obviously a set up --- From outside looking in - it appears that "Danny Owens" set Steve up or is trying to... Hopefully Justice will prevail... It is also obvious from all of the comments on here that 99% of the people in Versailles believe that Steve is innocent. Danny Owens if you did this --- shame on you... Anyone who sets someone up for their own gain --- is a Low Life... And in the end You always Reap what you Sow... But we need to remember that everyone is innocent until proven guilty.

Hello!!!! People,we are dealing with a child porn addict! Shouldn't we be prayong for the innocent children that STEVE was looking at instead of blaming Danny??? Are you kidding me? The FBI has found evidence! How stupid are you?? Steve is not the person you want him to be! He needs help! And he needs to be kept away from our children! Imagine how the families who have trusted him with thier young children who have been called home. Lets get a grip on reality here! This is not about Danny. It's about a man with a problem. He needs help.

It looks like a set up, who to say it wasn,t planted? Those who claim to be christians, are not looking like it now. If you can talk the talk you better be able to back it up, and not just with spreading lies.

ok we keep reading all the post but has there been any concert proof that this is or was steve's,what is the lateset if anyone knows fill us in with only the facts please...
