The city of Van Alstyne will decide whether to invite more of the metroplex growth into their southern edge of Grayson County.

Brendon Snapp and John Grant of the Van Alstyne Paramedic Team/ Fire Department brought a fire truck to the Van Alstyne Library and children were given a tour of the equipment used on the fire truck.

'Bursting,' a sudden issuing forth, was the Word of the Day at the Van Alstyne Voices Toastmasters Club on Monday May 8. Stuart Presley, Toastmaster for the meeting, followed a theme of 'Out with a Bang,' as VAV Toastmasters finishes up its second year.
