It also makes no sense to list the Flanders Mansion Property now when real estate values are at a low value during this economic recession and slow recovery period. Also the proceeds from a sale of Flanders would likely be wasted on undeserved and unearned salaries and bonuses to the favored city employees of Rich and Sue, as chronicled in Jane Millers lawsuit, incentive money to force out other employees Rich and Sue dislike, and more and more money on consultants because the mayor and administrator want total control of the city with centralized power vested in them.

All Carmel taxpayers monies expended, nearly $800,000, was because of the city councils, all under Sue McCloud, violations of state and municipal laws and consultant costs associated with the sale of Flanders Mansion before and after Judge O’Farrell ruled against the City in 2007. If Carmel had a mayor of good will, Measure I would never have had to be put on a ballot; instead of wasting taxpayers monies on consultants and attorneys in an effort to sell Flanders, those monies could have been better spent on maintenance and leasing it to a family or organization with compatible conditions of lease controlled by the city.

Even the native plants will die without water. We make our money in Monterey county from farming and tourists, both need water, tourists come because it is beautifully lush with NATIVE plants already. But even a Monterey Pine will die if not watered in a drought. Assuming planting drought tolerant plants will solve our water problem is naive. Just because they are native doesn't mean they don't need water.

Daily Horoscope for December 29

Pisces

Whether the excesses of the past few days are catching up with you or you're feeling drained for other reasons, you need as much rest as possible today. Once you get tired, your defenses will be down and you'll start to fret about whatever is currently nagging away at the back of your mind. You're also concerned about the welfare of a certain person, which doesn't help.
