UNION – "Brilliance: A New Exhibit Honoring the Lives of Women on the North Shore Line" will open Saturday at the Illinois Railway Museum.

The former Illinois Central Railroad, has made it in to preservation at various railroad museums around the nation.

A new two-year exhibit featuring Woodstock in the early 1960s will open at 1 p.m. May 5 at the McHenry County Historical Society Museum in Union.

I took this photograph way back in September of 1982. The Illinois Railway Museum located in the town of Union Illinois, was holding their annual Member's Day Weekend event, and the museum put on this unique steam crane lifting demonstration near the end of the day.
