BOE accepts 28 retirees, resignations as schools close

On Monday night, the Fayette County Board of Education approved a personnel report that lists the retirement of 28 employees, the resignation of eight more and six reclassifications as part of the plan to reduce 310 full time equivalent school system employees from the 2,500 employees.
