No news for the Berkshires.People might learn things and get jobs off housing the Berkshires cant have that how will the doctors and lawyers and connecting agencys survive we might even find away to give are kids something to do they wont be in trouble and what a shame that probono money gone oh my. |

If one house in your town has DSL, your town is considered "underserved," not "unserved," which they refer to in the article. By that definition, Becket (and almost all towns in Southern Berkshire) are NOT unserved. Their mandate is to get service to towns without a single home served first, then to get service with towns who are partially served. Unfortunately they're promoting wireless which is questionable in this area, since it's line of sight. |

Does anyone else find that last comment from Gillett offensive? Particularly since using fiber would preserve our ridgelines AND provide a vastly superior, long-term broadband solution. Ah, we backwood hicks are being sold a bill of goods by the State, yet again!
