Forgotten hot dog buns lead to Cash for Life jackpot for 18-year-old Michigan woman
Maranda Coffey, of Turner, won the Michigan Lottery Cash for Life top prize, claiming her lump-sum payment Friday, Aug. 1. The win came when Coffey, 18, and her mother made a return trip to Dore's Party Store in Whittemore, after Coffey forgot to get hot dog buns on her first visit to the store.
