Costly victory: Area man fought in the last major WWll battle
World War II veteran Bill Eason Jr., 87, saw combat action at the Battle of Okinawa, the last large-scale battle of the war.
New drill: Minuteman Energy, LLC will drill two 2,000' wells on the Minuteman-Carr lease, two miles northwest of Brookesmith, in the Brown County Regular, Brown County Regular and Wildcat fields.
