Dear Bill Blunk and the Residents of Treece, Kansas, I'm sorry for your plight. If you haven't heard , Treece, Kansas is seeking a federal government bailout similar to the one received by their neighboring town, Picher, Oklahoma.

Had lots of fun growing up in Treece many years ago. Lived there from 1928 to 1946. I have always thought of Treece as my home town. We made our own fun. Summers were great swiming in the old "sand grag" Sad to see the end of my found memories. Met my wife there, Norma Mitchell. Were still married after 62 years.
