Real-time groundwater monitoring system to cover 90 square miles
This summer the Barrington Area Council of Governments hopes to make strides in educating themselves and the public on the importance of responsible groundwater usage within the council's 90-square-mile area.
Tornado Warning Issued for Lake, McHenry Counties
A tornado warning has been issued for western Lake County and east central McHenry County through 5:15 p.m. The storm is expected to hit Round Lake around 4:40 p.m., Wacounda and Tower Lakes around 4:45 p.m., and Grayslake and Third Lake around 4:50 p.m., according to the National Weather Service.
