Dispatchers said a house in Tornado burned to the ground Thursday evening. Kanawha emergency dispatchers received the call regarding a fire on Vorpe Road about 6 p.m. Firefighters from Tornado, Lakewood, West Side, Alum Creek, Jefferson and Institute were at the scene.
