re WIBW:

"Jefferts Schori says the church also has some internal goals, including communication. She says they want to develop and communicate a clear message about who the Episcopal Church is ..."

Seems the PB's lawyers have already made that perfectly clear in lawsuit after lawsuit.

"Jefferts Schori discussed some of the church's three-year goals. Poverty is one major focus, particularly in Native American communities. Jefferts Schori says the church must be better able to meet the needs of those around them.

Disaster relief is another area of focus, serving those affected by floods and other events."

Good works are "good," but they are NOT the Gospel and they can never justify anyone before the Lord.

Unless, of course, you're Roman Catholic.

I can't speak for all these sects, but I know Lutherans believe they are justified by faith, not works, and that's right out of Romans.

She would have more money to spend on these goals if she would quit suing the faithful Anglican Orthodox who wish to leave.

Talk is cheap she should put her money where her mouth is.

TA, you are full of horse apples today. What's it to you, anyway? You don't have any skin in this game.

Besides, she hasn't sued any "faithful Anglican Orthodox who wish to leave" as you have so mischaracterized the ongoing disputes.

What she has done, in her capacity as Presiding Bishop, is to act responsibly on behalf of the expressed will of the House of Bishops of TEC to prevent a handful of renegade bishops from overrunning the interests and faith of a significant number of true Christians. Her actions and directed legal measures are also effectively preventing these mutinous bishops from absconding with Diocesan church property and financial assets that don't belong to them. Time and law are muchly on the side of the Presiding Bishop.

Now, TA, go crawl back into your hole and don't come out again until you have purged yourself of your unbridled desire to screw, maim and mischaracterize your fellow disciples of Christ.

Joe.

After two thousand years of interdenominational squabbling leading to schism after schism and division after division, whether catholic, independent, priest or minister, mystic or parishioner, "ist" this or "ic" that, do you think that the Lord Jesus is actually going to pay any attention to the peculiarities of the sect that you or I or anyone else professes to be a member?

Or is he simply going to go with the idea that whenever two or three of us are gathered together in his name that he will be there in spirit?

I see you posting a topic for discussion such as the one at the heading of this thread. Then, instead of recognizing the celebration of the Christians getting together in Topeka, KS, to mark 150 years of faithful service in Christ, you get responses and vicious cuts from people who aren't even Episcopalians about legal actions in which the church defends itself from bands of theives.

Some people just don't have anything else to do, I guess.

As a faithful member of the church catholic and a firm believer in Jesus, I have every right to comment on the abuses of power, sinfulness and disregard for Scripture that is present in TEC.

Baloney! When the majority of a parish or dioceses decide to leave they should be able to leave with what they have.

I will not go anywhere as long as TEC continues to abandon the faith and persecute faithful orthodox Christians. In other words, I will be here for a while.

No, as agreed on at GC among all TEC property.

Stealing is taking what doesn't belong to you, as in a building.

Stealing is against God, just as hating your neighbor is.

No wonder you don't understand..........

Let me ask you a very simple question, TA.

When you put money into the collection plate, is it an act of giving?- with regard to which the IRS allows you to declare it to be a charitable contribution and a fully deductible write-off.

or

Is it an investment, in which you retain an ownership interest and from which you can expect to receive a return?- with regard to which the IRS is allowed to pursue such ownership and subsequent return on investment for the purpose of levying taxation.

Which is it, TA?

Your question has absolutely nothing to do with the issue we are discussing because the parish would still be tax exempt regardless of whether or not it was in TEC or ACNA.

So is bearing false witness....which you do daily.

I don't hate my neighbor, I don't redefine what God has called sin for my own benefit or the approval of others.

It is a ridiculous question/comparison. It has no bearing on this matter what so ever. A parish/diocese isn't like a person who pays taxes.

Hey Brother & Sister Americans. WATCH OUT!!

The children of the devil are all around you. My Master, Jesus, gave us plenty of warning. A man I love; the Apostle Paul, confirmed my Master all the way.

This Bishop; Katharine Jefferts Schori; is a child of the devil. Sure she is. Have a look at her here:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Katharine_Jeffer...

Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection. But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. For Adam was first formed, then Eve. And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression. Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety. 1Ti 2:11

Hey, believe this:

Therefore every scribe which is instructed unto the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is an householder, which bringeth forth out of his treasure things new and old. Mat 13:52

We can clarify the scripture:

Jud 1:4 For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.

Yeah, we can say: Jud 1:4 For there are certain men AND WOMEN crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.

This child of the devil:'voted to consent to the election of Gene Robinson, an openly gay and partnered man, as Bishop of New Hampshire in 2003'.

There ya go, she's an abomination.

But take diligent heed to do the commandment and the law, which Moses the servant of the LORD charged you, to love the LORD your God, and to walk in all his ways, and to keep his commandments, and to cleave unto him, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul. Jos 22:5

LOL!

The devil made me do it.

It's someone else's fault.

God wants me to be a misogynist and a bigot.

The Bible defends slavery.

What an idiot.........
