Man dies while fishing at pond

A rural Thorntown man was found dead in a pond on his property Monday evening. According to information provided by the Boone County Sheriff's Department, Howard Davis, 77, apparently drowned while fishing at his pond in the area just west of Old Mill Run Park near Thorntown.
