Arbor Day celebrated in Thomaston

BOC restores fire funding for VFD's by 3-1 vote
In a 3-1 vote Tuesday evening, the Upson County Board of Commissioners passed a motion to reinstate the monthly $500 donation made to the six volunteer fire departments in the community, as well as making the funding retroactive back to January 1 of this year.
