After a long day of mowing lawns at Brush Ranch River Lodge in the Pecos Canyon, Ingersoll, 27, retired to the music hall, climbed behind his drum set and prepared to bang out some boredom.

The only exception to the closure is the Rio Chama Scenic River corridor, which will remain open to the public with Stage II fire restrictions.
Fires bring smoke to more areas of state
The fire is now the third largest in Arizona history. Smoke from area wildfires will continue to impact air quality in localized areas, particularly in the vicinity of Arizona's Wallow Fire on New Mexico's western border, which is about 50 percent contained.
